The study focuses on the role of intelligent traffic systems, including traffic lights, in smart cities and the potential impact of self-driving cars on traffic safety. The paper highlights the importance of traffic lights in reducing emissions and easing traffic congestion in urban areas. Additionally, the research discusses the human element in traffic control and provides suggestions for enhancing the capabilities of traffic workers to adapt to the modern smart city environment. Overall, this paper aims to provide insights into the applications and impact of smart cities on traffic safety and sustainable development.
